My journey
Lyon airport shuttle: Rhônexpress operates between Lyon Part-dieu and Lyon Saint-Exupéry airport. It serves the Vaulx-en-Velin La Soie station as well as the Meyzieu Zone Industrielle station.
On your way from Lyon to the airport, you can only get on at Lyon Part-Dieu, Vaulx-en-Velin La Soie and Meyzieu ZI stations, and can only get off at Lyon - Saint Exupéry Airport station.
On your way from the airport to Lyon you can only get on at the Lyon - Saint Exupéry Airport station and can get off at the station of your choice.
The first departures are 04:25 from Lyon Part-Dieu and 05:00 from Lyon - Saint Exupéry Airport.
After midnight, Rhônexpress provides additional departures from the airport for late scheduled flights that were scheduled to land before midnight. These additional departures can be made by alternative modes of transport (e.g. coaches). A Rhônexpress attendant will be there to guide you. Find the timetables in our section:
Schedules and stations
All Rhônexpress stations are accessible on the same level or by lift. The latter have a Braille control panel indicating the different levels served.
Each platform has a tactile paving strip to inform visually impaired or blind people of their proximity to the edge.
Information terminals visually indicate the waiting time for the next two Rhônexpress trains. In addition, in the event of disturbances, audio messages may also be broadcast on stations.
Find all the necessary information by clicking here.
Before taking your seat, please store your luggage and parcels in one of the two vertical racks placed at the entrances provided for this purpose or in the horizontal racks located above the seats.
Rhônexpress attendants are at your disposal to assist you in the handling of your belongings. Your small luggage can be placed under the seats. To avoid accidents, please hold your folding bicycle, rollerblades, skateboard, scooter, surfboard or skis that are kept in closed protective covers.
If you have misplaced an object or piece of luggage, please contact the attendant or our customer service via the contact form.
We keep lost and found items at our Maintenance Center for 1 to 6 months after recovery. They are then destroyed or donated to charities.
If you find an object or baggage lost on board the train, please report it as soon as possible to the attendant who will take the necessary measures.
Folded pushchairs, parcels, bicycles, rollerblades and skateboards are admitted free of charge in the trains, as well as in the holds and boots of substitute vehicles. They must be placed in the rack provided for this purpose at the entrance to the trains or on the shelves above the seats.
Surfboards, snowboards and skis must be packed.
The operator's agents are entitled to refuse admission of such objects if they are likely to inconvenience, hinder or constitute a risk to other passengers, particularly in the event of heavy traffic.
You can travel with your pet on board Rhônexpress at no extra charge as long as it is placed in a closed cabin and weighs less than 5 kg.
Dogs trained to assist blind people and people with reduced mobility are also accepted on the Rhônexpress service.
Police or Gendarmerie dogs are also allowed on board for any operational needs of the line.

Rhônexpress is a service open to everyone, whatever your reason for travelling to the airport. If you want to go to the airport to accompany a loved one, go shopping or go to work for example, you have made the best choice by using Rhônexpress because it is the safest and fastest way to reach the airport from the centre of Lyon!
As Rhônexpress is a service dedicated to serving the airport platform, you must have "Aéroport Lyon - Saint Exupéry" as your boarding or alighting station.
To use Rhônexpress you don't have to reserve your seat in advance, you just have to go to the boarding station of your choice.
My tickets
By Internet and mobile app: practical, fast and cheaper in just one click!
To make your purchase on this site, you can use a Visa®, MasterCard® or American Express® bank card.
At the Rhônexpress station:
All Rhônexpress stations have ticket machines. They accept payment by bank cards (Visa®, MasterCard®, American Express®). Some (at least one per station) also accept cash payments (change and notes in €uros). All tickets are issued by these machines (except Lyon City Cards and Pass lounges)
From the attendant:
If you did not have time to get your ticket before boarding the train, you can buy it directly from the attendant (for an additional €4). All Rhônexpress tickets are available except Lyon City Cards. On board, payments by bank cards (Visa®, MasterCard®, American Express®, Maestro®, Electron®) and cash (€uros) are accepted.
Did something crop up? Don't panic! You have one year from the date of purchase to use your Rhônexpress E-Ticket. Travel when you want - there’s no need to book the date and time of your trip with our service. Your E-Ticket can also be used in the desired direction of travel.
If you are unable to use your E-Ticket within this period, you have the possibility of requesting cancellation and reimbursement of the E-Ticket if it has not been used (minus a €3 fee if the request is made more than 7 days after the date of purchase).
As they are not nominative, you can also buy and sell E-Tickets for your friends and family.
If you have not yet exchanged your E-Ticket on board Rhônexpress and it is less than one year old, you may request a refund. A management fee of €3, including VAT, will however be deducted from your refund if the request is made more than 7 days after the date of purchase.
For instructions on how to request a refund, see Contact.
It is abnormal for you to not have received your E-Ticket or invoice more than 20 minutes after purchase. In this case, it is likely that your email address is a professional address: your employer has set up a control software on its mail server that considers the E-Ticket or invoice as spam. In this case, please look in your inbox if it has not been sent directly to your junk or spam, otherwise contact your IT administrator.
From your Customer Account, you can also change your email address and opt for an address outside a professional domain. From your order history, all you will have to do is request a new shipment of the E-Ticket not received.
You can also contact us via the Contact form
by clicking here, specifying your order number.
Yes, certain categories of passengers benefit from reductions:
- Young people from 12 to 25 years old included (one-way, return)
- Employees at the airport hub (one-way, return, 10 trips, 40 trips, 7 days and 31 days)
- Access to Rhônexpress is free for children under 12 years old accompanied by an adult.
- A person accompanying a Person with Reduced Mobility travels free of charge on board Rhônexpress, upon presentation of a disability card with a disability of more than 80%.
On the other hand, by opting for a Return or 10-Trip ticket, you make a significant saving compared to the price of a one-way ticket.
And finally, the price of tickets for the general public is lower on this site than at ticket machines or on board Rhônexpress.
A Rhônexpress ticket does not allow you to use the Lyon Public Transport network (TCL). To travel on the TCL network (metro, bus tram ...) you must be in possession of a TCL ticket, available for purchase on board Rhônexpress (upon request from the attendant) or from the TCL dispenser.
A ticket can be used for one hour from the first validation in subways, trams, trolleybuses and buses.
All information on the TCL network: http://www.tcl.fr
Are you 25 years old? You are entitled to the 12-25 year-old ticket until the day before your 26th birthday.
Did your child just turn 12? Unfortunately, they are no longer entitled to free admission, but they can benefit from the 12-25 year-old rate.
